About the Leather: *This is a thick strap, so follow the golden rule for thick straps and go one or two sizes larger than you normally wear. If you normally wear 125/80, consider 135/80 for this strap. Crafted from premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather in a classic light tan tone. The leather has a clean, natural surface that showcases subtle grain character without artificial correction. Over time, it will gradually deepen in color, developing a warm patina that reflects real wear rather than surface treatment. This is leather meant to age amazingly.

At 4.2mm thick, the strap delivers proper presence—substantial enough to anchor a larger Radiomir case, yet cut from a soft temper that conforms quickly to the wrist. It feels comfortable from the first wear and continues to mold naturally without collapsing or losing its shape.

The cream-white stitching is hand-executed in an open-ended pattern, creating strong visual contrast against the light tan leather while reinforcing key stress points. The design includes one fixed keeper and one floating keeper for a secure, balanced fit. Large circular holes enhance both adjustability and the classic Panerai aesthetic, while the redesigned profile features a longer tip for a more proportional finish on modern cases.

The strap tapers from 27mm at the lugs to 22mm at the buckle and is engineered to accept your OEM buckle. Additional buckle options are available through the dropdown menu for those who prefer a different configuration.

I have finished the edges with a soft crease for definition without harshness. The sides are meticulously hand burnished to a flawless semi-gloss shine. On modern Panerai models such as the PAM00992, the light tan tone aligns perfectly with the warmth of the hands and hour markers, creating a cohesive and intentional look. Additional Information:  For every Panerai model, I follow a distinct design philosophy. The Radiomir remains my favorite Panerai case design, and I purchased my first Radiomir nearly two decades ago. I began making Radiomir straps much later, as I approached retirement. Designing for the Radiomir is both enjoyable and demanding, and that balance defines every Radiomir Strap I make.

For larger 47mm Panerai cases, I typically use thicker thread with wider spacing. The Radiomir requires a more nuanced approach. In the Radiomir Strap, I mix thicker and finer threads and vary stitch spacing based on the leather. Most of my custom Radiomir straps measure between 3.5 and 5.0 mm thick, with the average falling near the middle of that range.

Wire lugs demand softer, more pliable leathers. This allows the Radiomir Strap to flex naturally at the case. I usually apply a 27–22 or 26–22 taper, depending on the leather. For larger 47mm Radiomir cases, such as the PAM323, I recommend a thickness of 4.5 mm or more. I also design bolstered tapers for select 47mm cases to add structure where the strap meets the case.
