About the Leather:  This brown water-buffalo calf leather carries a subtle burgundy undertone that pairs effortlessly with the classic Radiomir case. A semi-gloss top surface contrasts with lighter side edges, giving the strap depth without drawing unnecessary attention. At approximately 2.7mm thick, it closely matches the feel and profile of an OEM strap while delivering a more refined finish.

The new 27mm to 22mm taper is designed to accept your original Panerai buckle, while clean, precisely creased edges maintain a disciplined, well-defined silhouette.

On the wrist, the strap feels pliable with a medium-soft temper, allowing it to conform quickly and comfortably. The updated design uses thicker, open-ended hand stitching in high-quality ivory thread, adding both visual character and long-term strength. The maker completes every step—cutting, shaping, and stitching—entirely by hand, and reinforces the buckle end with an additional line of stitching for added durability.

The strap includes one fixed keeper and one floating keeper, and it fits both 45mm and 47mm Radiomir cases with ease. Its classic color and rugged water-buffalo leather make it well suited for daily wear, aging naturally over years of use.

You can select additional buckle options from the dropdown menu. Because of the strap’s thinner profile, pin buckles are not recommended. Additional Information:  For every Panerai model, I follow a distinct design philosophy. The Radiomir remains my favorite Panerai case design, and I purchased my first Radiomir nearly two decades ago. I began making Radiomir straps much later, as I approached retirement. Designing for the Radiomir is both enjoyable and demanding, and that balance defines every Burgundy Radiomir Strap I make.

For larger 47mm Panerai cases, I typically use thicker thread with wider spacing. The Radiomir requires a more nuanced approach. In the Burgundy Radiomir Strap, I mix thicker and finer threads and vary stitch spacing based on the leather. Most of my custom Radiomir straps measure between 3.5 and 5.0 mm thick, with the average falling near the middle of that range.

Wire lugs demand softer, more pliable leathers. This allows the Burgundy Radiomir Strap to flex naturally at the case. I usually apply a 27–22 or 26–22 taper, depending on the leather. For larger 47mm Radiomir cases, such as the PAM323, I recommend a thickness of 4.5 mm or more. I also design bolstered tapers for select 47mm cases to add structure where the strap meets the case.
