Description
About the Leather: This strap is made from dark brown chrome-tanned leather with pronounced pull-up character, giving the surface natural movement and tonal variation as it flexes on the wrist. The color stays deep and understated, with lighter highlights emerging only through wear—exactly how a proper Panerai strap should age.
At 3.0mm thick, it closely mirrors OEM Panerai strap thickness, just a hair more substantial in hand without feeling bulky. The temper is medium-soft, so it breaks in quickly while still offering enough structure to support larger Radiomir cases.
The edges are hand burnished to a subtle shine, then cleanly creased for a sharp, disciplined outline. I designed the ivory-colored hand stitching in an open-ended pattern, adding visual contrast and reinforcing stress points without looking overworked. I’ve added extra stitching at the buckle end for long-term durability.
The strap tapers 27mm to 22mm and is designed specifically to accept your OEM Panerai buckle. It includes two keepers—one fixed and one floating—for a secure, balanced fit.
On the wrist, the strap feels supple and immediately comfortable, conforming naturally without losing shape. It pairs effortlessly with both 45mm and 47mm Radiomir cases, making it a versatile daily strap that will develop character rather than wear out.
Additional buckle options are available via the dropdown menu. The strap shown is fitted with the Precision-Machined 22mm Screw Buckle Prototype, which can be selected directly from the dropdown instead of purchased separately.

Additional Information:Â For every Panerai model, I follow a distinct design philosophy. The Radiomir remains my favorite Panerai case design, and I purchased my first Radiomir nearly two decades ago. I began making Radiomir straps much later, as I approached retirement. Designing for the Radiomir is both enjoyable and demanding, and that balance defines every Burgundy Radiomir Strap I make.
For larger 47mm Panerai cases, I typically use thicker thread with wider spacing. The Radiomir requires a more nuanced approach. In the Burgundy Radiomir Strap, I mix thicker and finer threads and vary stitch spacing based on the leather. Most of my custom Radiomir straps measure between 3.5 and 5.0 mm thick, with the average falling near the middle of that range.
Wire lugs demand softer, more pliable leathers. This allows the Burgundy Radiomir Strap to flex naturally at the case. I usually apply a 27–22 or 26–22 taper, depending on the leather. For larger 47mm Radiomir cases, such as the PAM323, I recommend a thickness of 4.5 mm or more. I also design bolstered tapers for select 47mm cases to add structure where the strap meets the case.
Please contact me before ordering your custom Burgundy Radiomir Strap. I am happy to help you choose the right configuration. Every Panerai strap I produce, I make entirely by hand, without templates or machines. Because each strap is handmade, no two are ever identical, and that individuality is intentional.
