About the Strap:

*The photos of the strap by itself feature natural lighting, and the photos of the strap on the watch feature artificial lighting, hence the apparent color difference in the photos. The natural lighting photos represent the true color of this strap. Upon sourcing this ultra-soft, combination-tanned hide directly from Italy, the nostalgic olive-brown tone and substantial temper immediately recalled the highly coveted OEM straps of the 1990s. The leather is so exceptional that I prioritized several personal pieces before opening this limited run; due to the extreme scarcity of this specific Italian hide, only a few bespoke units will be crafted before this material is gone forever. Designed specifically for the 44mm Panerai Luminor case, this strap maintains a bold 24mm width throughout its entire length, providing a commanding presence that perfectly balances the substantial Luminor lugs. Every detail pays homage to the golden era of Panerai:

• The Build: A consistent 24mm profile featuring a pronounced tip and a 3.3mm thickness—roughly 0.8mm more substantial than standard OEM offerings for a superior, high-end feel.

• The Stitching: Hand-finished in a traditional boxed pattern using a beige high-tensile thread. The tone is selected to sit a few shades lighter than the leather. This creates a versatile aesthetic that pairs magically with black, white and tobacco dial Panerai Luminor models.

• Refined Edges: Each edge features a precise, sharp crease, while the keepers are left plain to mirror the minimalist, functional elegance of classic archival straps.

• Hardware: This strap is pictured with a modern PVD buckle for a sleek, contemporary finish, though other buckle styles are available from the dropdown menu for those seeking a more vintage aesthetic.

Technical Specifications:

• Construction: One floating keeper, with an additional included by request.

• Compatibility: While shown with the PVD buckle, I can enlarge the pin holes for Panerai Luminor OEM buckle compatibility upon request—simply select “No Buckle” from the menu.

Additional Information: The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the workhorse of the Panerai lineup. Therefore, it offers the most flexibility for aftermarket strap creation. Larger 47mm cases often require thicker builds. In contrast, the 44mm Luminor works with different strap thicknesses, including modern takes on Panerai Pre-V straps.

When selecting thread and spacing, I consider both the leather’s thickness and temper. This way, I ensure comfort, balance, and durability. Most 24mm straps for 44mm Luminor models use a vintage-style Panerai pin buckle.

However, many straps in this section also feature alternative buckle options in the drop-down menus. My design approach includes dual wide keepers, box stitching, and thickness between 3.5 and 5.5mm. As a result, these features reflect the traditional proportions of Panerai Pre-V straps.

All 24mm straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm without taper. By comparison, I reserve tapering for Radiomir models. For Luminor, I prefer longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. This creates visual balance and secure wrist fit. Stitching margins are thinner than on 47mm straps, consistent with Panerai Pre-V straps.

Finally, I craft every strap by hand using the same tools from my two decades as a boot maker. Each strap is unique.
