Description
About the Strap:
Perfection is here! This is a unique leather with a lustrous dark walnut brown tone. This is a soft and thick strap with a dark topside and a contrasting, lighter edge. Thanks to the neutral tone and stitching, it pairs well with most any PAM case and dial color combo. Feel free to request different stitching colors, as this would also look good with ivory white stitching.
Designed specifically for the 45 and 47mm Panerai Radiomir cases, this strap maintains a bold 27mm width at the lugs and tapers to 22mm at the buckle. The top side has a semi-gloss appearance, and the strap will definitely soften and darken in all the right areas with ongoing wear. The surface of the strap will get shinier as it is worn continuously over time. Shown above on the PAM00992 Radiomir 8 Days. Every strap collection should have at least one dark brown uni-color strap. The details are engineered to compliment the Radiomir case, while also giving a nod to the early days of Panerai:
-
The Build: A 27mm to 22mm taper with a 4.5mm thickness. The edges are left raw, and the buckle holes are hand punched.
-
The Stitching: Hand-finished in a traditional boxed pattern using a light brown French high-tensile thread. I selected the tone to sit just a shade lighter than the leather. This creates a versatile aesthetic that pairs comfortably with black, white and tobacco dial Panerai Radiomir models.
-
Refined Edges: Each edge features a precise, soft crease, while the keepers are left plain to mirror the minimalist, functional elegance of classic early PAM straps.
-
Hardware: I paired this strap with a polished OEM style buckle in the photos. You may also select alternative hardware options from the drop-down menu.
Technical Specifications:
-
Construction: Dual keepers -one fixed, one floating, fold terminates at buckle side with an extra line of stitching for reinforcement.
-
Compatibility: While shown with the OEM style buckle, I can reduce the size of the pin holes to accommodate vintage style sewn buckles.
-
Availability: In stock until the final piece of this leather is gone. This hide is discontinued from the tannery, so once its gone, its gone!
Measurements: This strap is 27/22, with a thickness of ~4.5mm.
Included: Watch strap, optional buckle, one wooden gift box.

Why a custom strap for your Radiomir? Ordering a bespoke Radiomir strap gives you full control over every detail. It lets the watch wear exactly the way you prefer, not a generic fit. Radiomir wire lugs are sensitive to thickness, taper, and hole spacing. A custom strap keeps the watch balanced and integrates cleanly with the case. A made-to-order strap also breaks in faster on your wrist. For collectors, a bespoke Radiomir strap is more than a replacement part. It improves comfort, elevates the look, and gives the watch a personal presence.
Additional Information: For every Panerai model, I approach strap design with its own distinct philosophy. The Radiomir remains my long-standing favorite within the entire Panerai lineup. I bought my first Radiomir nearly twenty years ago, though I didn’t begin making straps for it until much later in life. Designing for the Radiomir is both enjoyable and technically demanding.
For larger Panerai cases around 47 mm, I typically use thicker thread with wider spacing. With the Radiomir, I vary both thread thickness and stitch density, mixing tight patterns with wider intervals. These choices always depend on the behavior of the specific leather. Most aftermarket Radiomir straps fall between 3.5 mm and 5.0mm, with the majority landing somewhere near the midpoint.
Radiomir wire lugs work best with softer, more flexible leathers. From a design perspective, I usually taper the straps to 27/22 or 26/22, depending on how the material responds. For larger 47 mm Radiomir cases such as the PAM00323, I advise a thickness of 4.5 mm or more. I’ve also produced bolstered-taper designs for these 47mm Radiomir models.
Please contact me before placing an order for a custom Radiomir strap. I’m always glad to help guide the selection. I take pride in every aftermarket Panerai strap I build, each crafted entirely by hand without templates or machines. As a result, no two handmade straps are ever perfectly identical.
