About the Leather: *This is a thick build, so follow the standard rule for substantial straps and size up one or two lengths from your usual measurement. If you normally wear 125 / 80, move to 135 / 80 to ensure proper wrap and balance on the wrist. Crafted from premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather in a vivid aqua blue tone, this strap delivers confident color with refined execution. The surface carries a subtle semi-gloss finish that offers added resistance to moisture while maintaining a natural leather appearance.
At 4.2mm thick, it has the strength and presence needed to support a 44mm Luminor case. The temper is true medium—structured enough to hold its profile across the wrist, yet flexible enough to break in gradually without feeling rigid. It molds naturally over time while maintaining its shape and integrity.
I designed the stitching in a boxed pattern. I selected thread in the same color family as the leather to create a cohesive, intentional finish rather than sharp contrast. One fixed keeper and one floating keeper ensure secure placement, while circular holes enhance adjustability and reinforce the unmistakable Panerai character.
This strap measures 24mm wide throughout with no taper, giving it a strong, squared-off stance that suits 44mm Luminor models perfectly. It comes fitted with a vintage-style pin buckle that complements the traditional tool-watch aesthetic. You may select from additional buckle options using the drop down menu.
The edges are finished with a soft crease for definition without harshness, then meticulously hand burnished to a smooth glossy sheen. If you want a bold, structured strap built specifically for modern 44mm Luminor references, this one delivers presence, durability, and long-term character.

Additional Information: The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the workhorse of the Panerai lineup. As a result, it offers the most flexibility for aftermarket strap creation. Larger 47mm cases often require thicker builds. By contrast, the 44mm Luminor works with different strap thicknesses, including modern takes on Panerai Pre-V straps.
When it comes to selecting thread and spacing, I consider both the leather’s thickness and temper. In this way, I ensure comfort, balance, and durability. Typically, most 24mm straps for 44mm Luminor models use a vintage-style Panerai pin buckle.
Nevertheless, many straps in this section also feature alternative buckle options in the drop-down menus. Moreover, my design approach includes dual wide keepers, box stitching, and thickness between 3.5 and 5.5mm. Consequently, these features reflect the traditional proportions of Panerai Pre-V straps.
All 24mm straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm without taper. On the other hand, I reserve tapering for Radiomir models. For this reason, I prefer longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides on Luminor models. Thus, this creates visual balance and secure wrist fit. In addition, stitching margins are thinner than on 47mm straps, consistent with Panerai Pre-V straps.
Ultimately, I craft every strap by hand using the same tools from my two decades as a boot maker. Because of this, each strap is unique.
