Description
About the Leather: I designed this strap to match the bold style of the 47mm Panerai Bronzo with 26mm lugs and 22mm buckle. As with all my work, I make each strap by hand, this time using unique latigo leather with a soft matte finish. Depending on the lighting, the color shifts between soft purple and dolphin grey. These tones, in turn, pair beautifully with the aged bronze case of the Bronzo. For this version, I gave the strap a stronger taper for a sleeker, more balanced fit. In addition, it features two keepers—one fixed, one floating—with clean, creased edges for a refined finish.
The buckle shown is the OEM bronze buckle from the PAM00968. However, it is not included with the strap. You can use your own OEM buckle, or instead, select a different option from the dropdown menu. This flexibility allows you to pair the strap with other Panerai models as well.
This Panerai Bronzo strap is shown here on the PAM00968. The Lilac tone echoes the dial and complements the oxidized bronze case. Likewise, it pairs well with green, beige, or tobacco dials. Altogether, this strap adds a refined contrast to the Bronzo’s rugged design. *Note: This strap is not made for diving and may change color if exposed to water.
Measurements: This strap is 26/22, with a thickness of ~5mm.
Included: Watch strap, optional buckle, one wooden box with papers.

Additional Information: Each Panerai model demands its own approach to strap design. When it comes to the Panerai Bronzo and other 47mm cases, my focus shifts toward thickness, symmetry, and overall balance. The larger size of the case and its presence on the wrist call for a bold strap to match.
The Panerai Bronzo uses a 26mm wide strap. There’s no getting around the heft of this combination. So when I design a strap for Panerai Bronzo watches, I lean into that weight and structure. I select thick, firm leathers and build each strap to be at least 5.0mm thick on average.
The curves and slope of the Bronzo case influence everything from the taper to the buckle fit. Rather than minimize the bulk, I embrace it. Wide keepers are part of my standard Panerai Bronzo strap options. I box stitch most by hand for strength, though I occasionally use open-ended stitching depending on the leather.
I also use vintage-style stainless pin buckles, typically sewn in. These work especially well with thicker straps and allow for tighter punch spacing. For 26mm straps, I use a heavier thread and space the stitching wider than on my Radiomir or 44mm Luminor straps.
All work is done entirely by hand—no templates, no machines—just the same simple tools I used as a bootmaker for nearly 20 years. Each strap for Panerai Bronzo watches is truly one of a kind.
